Welcome to the Home Page of the 12th Aquaculture Insurance & Risk Management Conference.
We are very grateful to our sponsors without whose financial support the Conference would not take place. So many thanks to: Munich Re., Sunderland Marine Mutual Ins. Co., Swiss Re., Catlin Group, Aon, and Novae Group, all are key players in the growing aquaculture insurance market, and we are very pleased to have their support.
The Conference will take place on 31st March and 1st April 2011, at the Carlton Hotel & Spa, near Kinsale, County Cork, Republic of Ireland. Ireland has a rich history of fishing and for many years has had a flourishing onshore and offshore aquaculture industry. So we look forward to another interesting and informative meeting of key players in the industry based around an agenda of key subjects which we hope will include the following subjects:
1)The Sustainable Aquaculture Initiative of the World Wildlife Fund
2)Current Status and Developments in Recirculation.
3)Plankton Blooms, the influence and effects of Climate Change.
4)Current Disease Situation in Aquaculture.
5)Developments in Mooring Systems.
6)Financing Aquaculture I - an international agency's view.
7)Financing Aquaculture II - a major bank's view.
8)Developments in Aquaculture in a major Asian country.
9)Aquaculture and its insurance in a key Mediterranean country.
10) The situation regarding Sea Lice
11) A new species Pangasius
We are always open to suggestions as to how the Agenda can be expanded and improved, and the Agenda is not finalised until close to the Conference itself. So if you have any suggestions to make, let us know here: info@aums.com
